We require an original death certificate or a certified copy issued by the General Register Office or a local register office.
Photocopies are not suitable for sworn translation purposes.
Some notaries and inheritance authorities may also require an apostille on the original certificate. Check with the receiving authority.

Requirements vary -- many foreign authorities often ask for both a sworn translation and an apostille on the original document. Check with the receiving authority. Our parent service can arrange apostilles alongside your translation.
No -- for sworn translation only, a clear scan or good-quality photo emailed to us is sufficient. You do not need to post the original. If an apostille on the original is also required, the original will need to be posted for that process and we will advise you accordingly.
